The logic behind the Decapitation of Lord Ganesh : Astrology

Why Ganesh Ji’s human-form head was replaced with the head of an elephant after Shiv Ji decapitated it? The answer lies in the logic of astrology and its Navagrahas.

We all know the story of Ganesh Ji guarding his mother Parvati and stopping anyone from entering her premises, facing the wrath of Shiv Ji. Well, the head in astrology is represented by the sign Aries. In Aries, the lordship is of Mars, who rules aggression and arrogance, where the Sun also exalts, defining ego—the traits that were showcased by the human form of Ganesh Ji. When faced with the divine wrath, the head got decapitated, just like Rahu and Ketu got cut off by Vishnu Ji, removing the ego of Rahu, manifesting Ketu as divine surrendered consciousness that works on the intellect of the universe, reaching the areas of divine knowledge. Thus, Ketu’s nakshatra was placed in the head sign of Aries, the first one, being Ashwini, who can heal anything through divinity.

So, in Ganesh Ji’s case, the divine wrath placed a new head of an elephant, who is denoted by the energy of Jupiter, the expansive one. Jupiter rules the sign of Sagittarius, which is the natural 9th house of a horoscope, giving spiritual inclination, where again, the nakshatra of Ketu, Moola, sits, indicating that the transformation of a human intellect into a divine one is only possible with the replacement of the perspective of old thoughts of life with a new one. Therefore, the head of Ganesh Ji was replaced with the head of an elephant so the energy of the spiritual trine can be activated in that being, manifesting the energy of Ketu’s headless power through Aries and Sagittarius. These two signs sit 5-9 to each other, which is called a trine, the most auspicious placement in a horoscope where harmony is achieved.
