Venus: The Radiance Of Love, Art, And Immortality

The feminine energy of spiritual and material abundance is the god of beauty. It has lordship over Taurus and Libra and has the duty to maintain balance with peace and harmony over all sorts of existence.

In Hindu lore, it is known as Shukra, the son of Bhrigu, who was one of the Prajapatis and a Vedic sage. It is often depicted as the Daitya Guru, or the teacher of demons, and the only planet that holds the Sanjivani Mantra, the spell of achieving immortality.

Through its energy, all sorts of beauty, illusion, entertainment, and joy spread on Earth. It has the energy of giving everlasting bliss and peace of mind, which mainly comes by renunciation of worldly objects and focusing on uplifting one’s spiritual abilities.

It exalts in the sign of Pisces, both denoting a watery element, which shows deep occult abilities and the power to become clairvoyant. Venus, being the planet of inspiration, debilitates in the intellectual sign of Virgo. The terms "art" and "artist" come from the energy of Venus, as well as the feeling of love, which is the magnetic source of attraction for all existence.

Its nakshatras—Bharani, Purva Ashadha, and Purva Phalguni—express the different spiritual and material layers of Venus.

The Greeks associated the planet Venus with Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, passion, and procreation. Her birth is famously depicted as arising from the sea foam after Cronus castrated Uranus. Aphrodite was a central figure in many myths, known for her beauty and her influence over love and desire among gods and mortals.

In Hindu lore, Lakshmi Ji, the provider of all sorts of abundance, is prayed to for attaining wealth and prosperity.
