Jupiter: The Divine Teacher, Bringer Of Abundance & Wisdom

The god of gods, teacher of all, and synonym of wisdom is the biggest and most massive of them, showing its expansive nature.

The energy of Jupiter has a certain hope, optimism, and happiness, which makes life worth living. It exalts in the sign of Cancer, which is collective consciousness, and debilitates in the sign of Capricorn, where wisdom and auspicious energy diminish.

Its own signs of Sagittarius and Pisces sit in the 9th and 12th houses of the natural horoscope, indicating its religious and selfless deeds. It is the indicator of dharmic activities and the goodwill to change something for the better on an extravagant level.

In the Rig Veda, he is described as the bull whom none can deceive. He is also known as Brihaspati, the deity who personifies the worship of the gods. Under the strong influence of this planet, one does philanthropic work for society. It’s the planet of abundance, the one who provides never-ending wealth and status.

In terms of relation, Jupiter represents our teacher, children, and in some cases, husband. The more you respect these relations, the more auspiciously the energy of Jupiter will play.

The Greeks identified the planet Jupiter with Zeus, the king of the gods, who ruled from Mount Olympus. Zeus was the god of the sky, thunder, lightning, law, order, and justice. He was the most powerful of the Olympian gods and was often depicted with a thunderbolt and eagle.

The Romans equated the Greek Zeus with their own chief deity, Jupiter (also known as Jove), after whom the planet is named. Jupiter was the king of the gods, the god of the sky, thunder, lightning, and law. He was the protector of Rome and the Roman state. His symbols were the thunderbolt, eagle, and oak tree.
