Astrology Behind The "Clashes" Of Ravana And Kubera. The Story Of The Ancient Times
Published on Uncategorised
The cause of imbalance in life is illustrated in this article, where we shall astrologically understand the mythological stories of “Ravana” and "Kubera.”.
The lineage begins with Brahma ji, who had a son named Pulastya ji, who had a son named Vishrawa, who had a son named Vaishravana, who did great penance. Brahma ji got impressed and gave him a Pushpak Viman, making him the owner of all the wealth in the world, entitling him the Kubera.
One day, Kubera went to his father, Vishrawa Muni, and asked him why Brahma ji hadn’t given him any specific place to reside and where he should go. Vishrawa Muni told him to go to a place called Lanka, built by Vishwakarma ji himself, after which Kubera settled there.
One day, Sumalin, the lord of Rakshasa, for the sake of their tribe, told "Kaikasi,” the mother of Ravana, to go to Muni Vishrawa and ask him to procreate a child for you as great as Kubera, so our tribe will flourish once again. When she went to him, she asked for a child, and Muni ji told him that because of your visit to an inauspicious muhurata, you would beget evil children, one of whom was Ravana.
One day, Kaiksi, witnessing Kubera flying in a Pushpak Vimana with all glory, got angry at her children and told them that they were all worthless and nothing compared to their cousin Kubera.
Ravana got angry at this thought and went into great TAPASYA, from which he got boons from Brahma Ji about becoming invincible. After becoming powerful, he went to fight Kubera, which resulted in Ravana throwing him out of Lanka and ruling it.
Kubera is a synonym of wealth, which in Jyotish is denoted by the planet Venus in the sign of Jupiter, Pisces. Ravana’s anti-Kubera behavior comes from having Venus in Pisces in the 6th house. The role of Venus in Ravana’s life is necessary to understand, as he had Libra ascendant with the other sign of Venus in the 8th house, showing the disappointments relating to the significations of Venus.
Because of Ravana’s fit with Kubera, he destroyed the significations of Venus and Jupiter, which resulted in the total destruction of what he created in his lifetime, as indicated by the placement of Venus’s other sign, Taurus, in the 8th house for Libra ascendant.
Looking from a different angle, Ravana was Rahu-dominated, wanting all the power in the world without ever satisfying. Kubera was Venus dominant desire for peace and prosperity. Libra is the sign of Venus, where the Nakshatra of Rahu, i.e., Swati, prevails, denoting the balance of everything.
The clash between the significations of Libra between the Rashi and Nakshatra lords, i.e., Venus and Rahu, leads to an imbalance, which you can witness in today’s world, where people with connections of Venus and Rahu have chaotic families, are drug addicts, and have no regard for the respect and admiration of women in society.
After Ravana’s misdeed with Kubera, he never got the peace with relations denoted by Venus, where his own spouse Mandodari hated him, Sita Ji despised him, and his own brother Vibhishana abandoned him, while destroying the significations of Jupiter along with it, where he lost his sons, annihilated the devas, and developed the pinnacle of ego, which at the end of the day took away everything.
Here we should learn that, along with Japa and Tapa, if you treat the planetary relations wisely, only then will you get the blessings of that planet. Ravana discarding the lord of wealth and wanting it all at the same time was the reason for his end.
